How to Use iMap to Sync Notes
When Notes was using iMap for syncing, no surprise my mac.com account was pretty much rock solid. As I recall, every time you edited a note backed by Gmail's iMap, you'd get a new copy of the note. You basically have to upload a whole brand new one and then delete the old one before presenting it as if no change has happened. That actually is one of the serious engineering challenges with building an iMap email client or really doing any kind of document editing by iMap.
