How to Hire a CFO for Your Bookkeeping Business
I would look for somebody, one, that's done FP&A. I don't know that I'd necessarily look for a CFO because often at that early stage, a lot of stuff is very tactical. Sometimes you can find someone that can do both. We all want the unicorn, but not pay for it. They're not very common. There's a reason they're rare. If you have someone who's been a long-time CFO, mid-sized companies, they're probably not going to enjoy the work.
