"It's not up to anyone at or after T, whether P is true," an alchemist would say. "What happens in 3013 depends on what was true way back when it's the other way around", he says. The proposition that Mary Mary's Harry blah blah Blah will be false if she doesn't take him,. But there are things someone can do such that if they were to do it, that proposition would be false.
