Christianity Is More Than Just Right Thinking About Jesus

Worship leaders try to give you a glimpse of jesus, that you might see jesus an all his beauty. What will happen is that emotions will well up inside of you out of gratitude and praise for what jesus has done in your life. We do not pursue feelings as an end in themselves. The primary sign of god's presence is the gospel. And so we don't sing about god's greatness until you get emotional. Emotionalism assumes feelings are the primary signs ofgod's presence. They're not.
