In recent years, there's been a push towards legally restricting certain types of books in schools. Progressives want books like Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn removed for racist language. Tequila Mockingbird has also been challenged by progressives over his portrayal of race. Some publishers are even rewriting classics to make them more politically correct. The American Library Association counted more than 1,200 book challenges in 2022 - almost twice the number of challenges in 2021.
