Some members of strech's family had been there for over 200 years in india. There was a little bit of perhaps not feeling a sense of belonging or cameraderi and kinship within the military at that time. Iht that is why he was sent for his unattached list service to the shropshire light infantry. So, you know, one can't underestimate that it should be a feature in our understanding of strenk as he was to become.
