The US and the Treaty on Biodiversity
There is a question of whether the treaty will be ratified in the US. Conservative lawmakers tend to have an aversion to global treaties because they feel that it infringes on American sovereignty. Once 60 member states ratify the treaty, then it will enter into force. But we are still a little bit far from from like full treaty in existence.
