The algaritm seems to sort of be the root of everything facebook does. And francis is out there saying it makes people angrier. The result has been more division, more harm, more lies, more threats and more combat. In some cases, this this dangerous onlike talk has led to actual violence that harms and even kills people.
Facebook kicked off the week with an outage and followed that up today with a whistleblower testifying before Congress. The Wall Street Journal’s Jeff Horwitz explains how the company may have misled the public about the dangers of its social networks.
