The Relay Race

Each character gets their own standalone chapter but even when they get their own main moment those characters have to show up and all their complexity. At some points I felt like I was tweezing glass out of a carpet at points it was just so it took a lot of waiting and counterbalancing and reading and rereading and just trying to make sure it was right. But ultimately it just required a lot of faith in the reader that the reader would want to come along with me.
