The Power to Say, Thus Sayeth God

The church is not identical to Christ because Christ, of course, is God. He can't communicate divinity in the strict sense to the church. But he gave strict guidelines as to how that authority was to function. Today it's Pope Francis and all the bishops in union with him. That is the truth. And what a liberation that was for me as a Protestant who, you know, I was happy where I was.
