The NAE is making a renewed effort to think about what it means to present a holistic, comprehensive gospel for our common life together in this increasingly pluralistic society. The second area, and these are all nested within each other, is racial justice and reconciliation as an expression of the good news of Jesus Christ. And thirdly is this area of a public theology that leads to public discipleship and restores our public witness. These are three broad areas, and each will have specific manifestations organizationally. But I would articulate them as the three major concerns, not just for the next year, but I think of them as the next decades worth of work.
