The Strengths and Weaknesses Principle

The first principle that you mentioned do the things that are least specific to the event furthest away from the event. And then the third principle, work your strengths closest to the race. Elite athletes are always going to win in their strengths. They're never going to won in their weaknesses because there's always somebody that's going to beat them in that. So I translate that principle into the everyday athlete that you're going to perform the best if your strengths are maximized and you want to maximize those strengths as soon as possible.
