"I think we make a lot of assumptions about what happens internally for folks with Alzheimer's and dementia that there is just a fading or a nothingness. And I'm not sure that that's actually the case," he says. "Is heart disease a societal mirror of the ways that our hearts have had to close off to like survive through this cruel world? Is, is cancer a mirror metaphorically of the Ways That We Have Ingested Toxins?"
