Alice tells her sister about a dream, and all she can remember from it is the story. She runs off, leaving her sister on the bank of the river who starts day dreaming about what she's heard. Lastly, she thinks of alice telling these stories when she grows up. And this is the final line of the book. The end, that really wasn't satisfying. I don't know if the actual book has any meaning, but i could not gleam a deper meaning from your summary of it. It would have to be imposed through your telling. That's on you.
