The Long Parliament

In 16 forty, the king dismisses parliament again. The scots make a lot of progress and start to seize control of territories in england. Parliament puts their foot down by abolishing ship money for the king. They more or less freeze england in its tracks. And this is why it comes to be called the long parliament.
