The Septuagint writers weren't bifurcated from the world of later rabbinic Judaism. The story as it was circulated in Hebrew does seem to be really devoid of what we would call theological content. If you do a close reading of Esther, you'll find connections with the story of you safe. You'll find connections or awareness of earlier biblical texts but nothing explicit.
