Do You Work With the Principal of a Defensive Triangle?
The first person perspective of being in a game of football does not lend itself to seeing triangles that you see from a helicopter view. It is about me understanding where my teammates are, where the opposition are and where the ball is. That determines where through us is and balanced with not getting played through I should be moving towards the ball. If we can teach our players to be in a triangle when they're defending they're going to be difficult to defend against but that says nothing about what the opposition are doing.
