The Standard-Poly Dichotomy of Faith and Works of the Law
What does it mean to be justified by faith, apart from works of the law? Well, faith is understood by a lot of people as being an active kind of thing. And so, you can think of other things like in Paul's writing, he's talking about obedience to faith. He tends to use faith in obedience as term interchangeably. You might, however, wish to see it as essentially passive and receptive and not active. Here, there are three opportunities that we'll go.
