This is the best parable, i think, to understand the s of election and in te calling of god. He didn't choose israel because they were a better nation, because they were more impressive. Matter of fact, if you made any argument at all, it would be that the nation of israel small and insignificant. And so he pulls some servants out of that nation, according to the parable he gets his servants together. That's another unconditional choice. Unconditionally choiceless choices of god are part of their redemption purpose.
