The Mercedes Formula 1 team has seen its workforce increase from 650 employees in 2013 to more than 1000 employees today. They now bring in annual revenues of more than $450 million, which is up from about 200 million in 2013. And the introduction of the cost cap has helped Mercedes expand its profits, profits from $15 million in 2020 to $75 million today. Louis Hamilton, for instance, earned $65 million last year and was ranked as the world's 21st richest athlete, according to Forbes.
