The Garden of Nebuchadnezzar

Every king of any note from at least the 8th century BC would have built a garden near his palace. Ninnavi is located much further north and it's on the Tigris which has many tributaries. The mountains are in the north and then come around on the eastern side so that the tributaries come in all around the place, taking snow melt down to the Arabian Gulf.
