Between 1937 and 1949, Stalin got rid of more than 2 million minorities in the Soviet Union. His excuse was that the Soviet Koreans were too much of a threat because there was a risk they would be helping international spies take them out. Many ended up dying because of starvation, exposure to the elements, and some just really could not adapt to their new life and exile.
