Netflix could have gone to the major company and said hey look we'll give you five percent of the company for unlimited deal or whatever. But in Netflix case that was not the structure of Netflix. The problem with competing with the hands this is like the Spotify problem too is if you compete with the hands that feed it then they all cut you off which is what's happened.
