i think that not everyone but most people have an innate need a psychological need well i mean need in the like upper levels of Maslow's pyramid kind of need right. Most people have a need to feel heard to feel that they can say what they have to say about things and that someone will listen. I suspect that prior to social media that was maybe the chief motivation behind like diarists you know, especially if you live on a farm with only five family members who don't talk to each other. journaling is very much a thriving industry not on the internet yeah okay  a thriving industry who profits from this journaling people who either sell journals or sell books about journaling big
