Candelario and the Herd of Ponies

The sergeant looked for Candelario. He kept backing along the ranks but he could not find him. Behind them came a herd of several hundred ponies. Up from offside these ponies rode a fabled horde of mounted lancers and archers bearing shields bed light with bits of broken mirror glass that cast a thousand un-piece suns against the eyes of their enemies. A legion of horribles hundreds in number half-naked are clad in costumes attic or biblical or wardrobeed out of a fevered dream with the skins of animals and sink finery still tracked with blood of prior owners.
