Will yateman: The ills of our system are a function of congress's inactivity. He says the progressive response to dobbs was for 30 senators to call on the president to declare a national emergency and thereby effectuate policies to their liking. Yateman: I'm not saying they're so polarized they can't agree on anything. What i am saying is that they'd they find it more efficient for the president to take the lead when it comes to domestic policy making.
