We see it with Mary and Pippin as well and understanding just how absolutely sheltered they are and ill equipped to be on this journey they are. And we definitely see that with Sam too and like what you were saying earlier about how he's like really putting his whole identity around protecting Frodo during this. Like even though he does not know what he's doing but he's still the one like putting himself into that protector position. Even though he's just as ill equipped. Once again he took that honest his identity but it wasn't his choice or you know he didn't feel it was a choice at all. I don't know that he would have made that choice for himself just like
