I think more, I tend to think about them as critical years, years that were a bit more adrift than deconstructive years. But even during that time, I still felt God was being active somehow. There was a period where I actually just didn't feel the presence or the voice or awareness of God at all. Even that felt like a place where he was supposed to be and just kept sitting with that while it lasted.
