Matthew De Grod's Lawyer Cried in the Courtroom - "It's Not Criminally Responsible"
The trial ended with the crown and the defence agreeing that matthew de grod was in a psychotic state at the time of the killings, and that he was unable to tell right from wrong. The families of the five victims were shocked when the crown prosecutor agreed with the defence lawyer. They felt it was more of a hearing for a not criminally responsible designation. Justice eric macklin really had no choice but to find matthew de groud not criminally responsible,. meaning he committed the crime, but couldn't appreciate that his actions were morally wrong.
