The Last Supper and the Eucharistic Commandments of the Apostles
The Eucharist was understood to be the physical presence of Christ's body and blood from the beginning of the church's history. The apostles led by Saint Peter say, yes, we do accept this, we will follow you have the words of eternal life. This was a foreshadowing of what Jesus would inaugurate for us at the Last Supper when Jesus gave you grace definitively. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. And I'll raise him on the last day.
