Diurnal Storage Is Extremely Competitive on an Economic Basis

Our study is really the first comprehensive national analysis evaluating diurnal storage against other flexibility resources. And we find that the diurnal storage is extreme competitive on an economic basis, particularly as we see deployment of solar p v growing. We find significant market potential for diurnal storage across a variety of scenarios using different cost performance assumptions for solar, wind, p v and natural gas.
