The Importance of Relationship Skills in Church Discipline

In the American evangelical church in let's call it the last 50 years or so, we've given away church discipline. And there are a lot of churches and movements out there that are trying to recapture it. In their recapturing, it's done in such a heavy handed way that it winds up being more detrimental and toxic to the church than not having any discipline at all. But if our relational skills are right, we can do church discipline in a way that you might not even realize that it's actually church discipline.
