The History of the Ghost Army
The Ghost Army was the first unit of its type in the US military. There was no training manual, so men had to improvise when it came to making dummy tanks. U-Stines team hit upon something new: a rubber tank that would have air valves like a bicycle tire. These new inflatable dummy tanks made it easy for the Ghost Army to cover up real troop movements.
