On this episode of the Exodus Cry Podcast, we sit down with Victoria Galy, a survivor of and advocate against image-based sexual abuse.
In 2020, Victoria discovered hundreds of nonconsensual videos of herself posted to porn sites by three different men, some of which were recorded after she had been secretly drugged. Just one year later Victoria boldly testified at the Canadian Parliament Ethics Hearing against Pornhub/MindGeek.
Since then, she has fiercely advocated for justice and federal legislative changes to protect other victims. This includes speaking at a symposium in Washington, D.C., sharing her story on various podcasts, meeting with many U.S. Senators, briefing the White House Task Force to Address Online Harms and Harassments and participating in the development of a landscape report presented to the White House on how to tackle the issue of image-based sexual abuse.
