St. Francis: We should be modest or even agnostic about the judgments that we can't verify, especially if those judgments tend to hurt people and make us think ourselves better than other people. "I think this is where your point on sort of defaulting to a sense of skepticism about our judgments or agnosticism about our judgments is helpful," he says. In some way, it seems like a kind of turn around for St. Francis in talking about living in the world but I think they're interconnected.
