Scott Pushkin was diagnosed with stage for bone cancer last year. Doctors had to amputate his right leg and remove a vertebra from his spine. He's undergone multiple rounds of impatient cemo therapy, and doctors have been able to save his life. "I think there are a lot of ways in which i think i've matured and softened already through this experience," he says.
Scott, a young researcher who builds cancer detection tools, has spent his entire adult life trying to avoid getting cancer. He is now facing his own stage 4 diagnosis.
