Democracies Without Theot Money
In a democracy with tariffs, domestic producers can argue that you should raise the tariffs for this. This is part of this whole welfare discussion that we're talking about. When when you have more trading partners and less tariffs, it does end up with more prosperity. But because democracy s tend to sort of protect their own and your constituency is within your borders, a it reduces the prosperity of the entire world in a sense.
