There were points of the trip where you would see a sandy beach, but you couldn't actually see the sand because there were so many elephant seals. As long as you're careful to give them their space, they kind of just left you alone. It was pretty amazing. Those animals could care less about you. They're so big, they're not afraid of humans at all. So it was definitely stressful, I think it was maybe the third day. We had no other choice that was covered with elephant seals.
