Xenophon's Political Views on Democracy
Xenophon held the belief that, despite the misfortunes of good people, the gods are just and benevolent. He does not allow his belief in divine causations to stop him from exploring the human causes of the same events. Politically speaking, Xenophon has long been associated with an opposition to democracy. His main work serves as a forum for him to subtly outline his political and moral philosophy.
