There's very little appreciation of how much we spend on prescription drugs because of patent monopolies. We'd almost certainly be spending less than a hundred billion a year. Drugs would be cheap. And take that over a decade, we're talking about over four trillion dollars. That dwarfs anything we ever argue over.
