The Importance of Having a Coach
I had several coaches growing up. My coaches were sort of also club level players. They weren't masters at all. And I never needed anything better than that because they were really good at like motivating me or opening preparation and stuff like that. So there was one coach I grew a lot with. I went from about 1600 to 1900 with them. By the time I was 19, I had won my regional championship,. which was both open and female with all ages. The Ultimate Sensei hosted by Chess Dojo Live. We worked with Eugene Paralstein, both Rebecca Selkirk and myself. We teamed up and we worked with him for a couple sessions during that competition. That was
