How Do You Position a Patient Like This?
"I use it to find and mark a location. Are there ever times when you would use it during the actual puncture? I don't think I have ever done that," he says. "How are you going to position a patient like this?" asks Dr. Mikhael Gershwin, anesthesiologist at St. Luke's Hospital in New York City. 'This is a patient who is essentially bedbound. They're on the ventilator.'
