Otany Is a Great Player, but He's a Bit of a Jerk.

Otany is the first player since r b i became official in 19 20 with eight plus r b i and ten plus strikeouts in consecutive games. Only one other player has even tallied each of those totals in a game, in a career or a season. He's been well above averages, both a batter and a pitcher, but a little below his mvp pace from last season. And yet, because he is good at both of those things, and because he constantly plays, he is just almost inevitably going to be one of the most valuable players in baseball.
