LZ Granderson: I don't know when philosophy became deformed in this way. It certainly was always that way, you know, from my introduction to it. LZ: The way to change that academic culture is just by modeling a different way. He says women aren't so attracted to the discipline because it's combative and pugnacious rather than cooperative.
