The Value of Being an Expert
Jim Boulden: Many young people would rather be influences than experts. How do you see the relationship between knowing something about a lot of different things, maybe being like half an expert in two fields? "You can be truly a world-leading expert without anybody recognizing you as an expert," he says. He adds that scientists need to remain authentic and respect intelligence of their audience.
