The Secret Feminism of Isabella Rosalini
In 1999, Isabella Rosalini launched a perfume line called Manifesto. It was designed with practicality in mind - lipstick tubes had mirrors on the caps. Marketing featured a much wider than usual range of women: 14-year-old and 67-year-olds. The so-called secret feminist plot didn't fly because she 'couldn't force a feminist model onto anybody else' She's not the potent cultural force she was during the last decade of last century. But that happens, especially to women who are professionally good-looking.
