What Happened to the Boys in Japan?
The Japanese government had once encouraged the adoption of foreign styles. Over and over, Western clothes were curtailed to the point of absolute conformity. So he had this challenge where he needed to create a style for young men in Japan that wasn't their uniforms. And so getting into late 50s, he was trying to figure out how to solve this problem.
