"I wanted to like go even further with the like loud quiet loud thing so I wanted like really metal riffs and then like kind of play on type," she says. "So that's kind of the idea I had for banana and I called it like grunge pop but like pop metal or something." The band has put out three albums since they formed in 2009, including a self-titled album released during the pandemic. They have played at Girls Rock Camp as part of their touring schedule.
