The Role of Private Health Care in the NHS
There are more than 7 million people on waiting lists for operations. People seem fairly indifferent about whether it's carried out at a private hospital or in NHS hospital. anecdotal experience suggests that sometimes people have a more enjoyable stay as it were in a private hospital rather than an NHS setting. We're seeing even outside this scheme that there is growing what we call an opt out from the NHS, whereby people are actively choosing and paying.
