The Horrors of Camp Schmidt
The William S. Schmidt Outdoor Education Center is located across 450 acres of Brandywine, Maryland. It was named for the former superintendent who presided over the public school system there from 1951 through 1970. Today Camp Schmidt collaborates with schools from all over Washington, D.C. and Maryland to get young kids out of the cities in the woods.
